Principal's Message

Rogue Primary School Families,

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you to our school community. I am thrilled to introduce myself as the principal at Rogue Primary School.  Over the past 25 years, I've had the privilege of working as both a teacher and an administrator, but my most important role has always been as an advocate for children. I look forward to spending time with your children, getting to know their unique personalities, learning styles, and interests, and celebrating their successes, both big and small. Every day, I will be here to encourage them and remind them that they are valued and have a special place in our school community.

My goal is to ensure that all children are happy, healthy, and safe, so they can learn, play, and explore their world to the fullest. This has been my guiding principle since I began my career in education. I started teaching at Jewett Elementary in Central Point, where I spent nine years, primarily teaching 1st grade. I then moved to Hanby Middle School, where I taught 6th-8th grade language arts and served as the Dean of Students. After that, I had the privilege of being the Assistant Principal at Scenic Middle School for four years, before returning to Jewett as their principal for three years. While I am proud of my work in education, my greatest achievement has been raising my three wonderful children. As a parent, I understand the importance of ensuring that our children are treated with care and respect, and I will work tirelessly to make sure your children have the best possible experience here at Rogue Primary.

As the principal, I am thrilled to be leading such a dedicated and vibrant group of students, teachers, and staff. Our school is more than just a place of learning; it is a hub of creativity, curiosity, and excellence. We strive to be a school that focuses on learning experiences that are joyful, socially interactive, meaningful, actively engaging and full of trial and error.

At Rogue Primary, we believe in fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. Our dedicated faculty members are committed to placing play at the heart of education by providing engaging and innovative teaching practices that inspire our students to reach their full potential. In our play-based environment, children are encouraged to follow their interests, make choices, and take risks in a safe and supportive setting. Our educators serve as facilitators, guiding students as they navigate through rich and diverse learning experiences that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

As partners in your child's education, we value open communication and collaboration between school, home, and the wider community.
