Principal's Message
Rogue Primary School Families,
It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you to our school community. Whether you are exploring Rogue Primary for the first time or returning for another wonderful year, I am so glad you're here.
Over the past 27 years, I've had the privilege of serving children as both a teacher and a school leader, but my most important role has always been as an advocate for kids. As both an educator and a parent, I understand the trust families place in their child's school. Every day, I look forward to spending time with students, getting to know their unique personalities, interests, and learning styles, celebrating their successes, and reminding them that they are valued and have a special place in our school community.
As we begin our fifth year, I couldn't be more excited about where Rogue is today. What began as a bold vision has grown into a thriving school community built on relationships, curiosity, and the belief that children learn best through active playful learning. This year, I'm excited to welcome our first 3rd grade students and launch our new 2nd/3rd grade blended classrooms, while continuing to stay true to the values that have made Rogue such a special place to learn and grow.
At Rogue Primary, we believe play is not a break from learning. It is the foundation of learning. Through play based learning, students explore, create, collaborate, problem solve, and build the strong academic and social-emotional skills they need for future success. Our classrooms are joyful places where children are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, make mistakes, and discover the confidence that comes from meaningful learning.
My goal is to ensure that all children are happy, healthy, and safe so they can learn, play, and explore their world to the fullest. I believe strong relationships are the foundation for meaningful learning, and I am committed to creating a school where every child feels known, valued, and challenged, and where every family feels welcomed as a valued partner in their child's education.
As partners in your child's education, I believe open communication and collaboration between school, home, and our community are essential to every child's success. Thank you for entrusting Rogue Primary with the education and well-being of your child. It is a responsibility I take to heart.
Together, I know we can create a school experience where children feel safe to explore, confident to take risks, excited to learn, and inspired to discover all they are capable of. I look forward to partnering with your family as we continue to nurture joy, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning through the power of play.
All the best,
